2021 – Germany, Waste Incineration Plant Hannover-Lahe

Enercity Contracting is constructing a sewage sludge incineration plant in Hannover-Lahe. This plant will treat mechanically dewatered as well as fully dried and partially dried municipal sewage sludge. The plant has a capacity of approximately 30,000 tons of dry matter (DM) per year. This corresponds to around 130,000 tons per year of dewatered sewage sludge with approximately 22% DM. The available heat is fed into the district heating network of enercity AG and is thus available to end consumers as environmentally friendly heat in Hannover. Around 5,000 households will then benefit from this waste incineration plant heat.*

TUB has been commissioned to carry out the following installation work, which it will begin in October 2021:

  • Preparation and installation of combustion chamber approx. 50 tons
  • Installation of ash hopper
  • Installation of steam generator approx. 50 tons
  • Preparation and installation of steam generator with associated ash hopper and secondary LUVO approx. 70 tons
  • Installation of feed water tank incl. degasser approx. 15 tons
  • Installation of steam drum approx. 15 tons
  • Installation of sand silo approx. 7 tons
  • Installation of air and exhaust gas ducts, including associated brackets approx. 21 tons
